Product context
Maison Alcôve imagines the portfolio of an independent interior designer in Paris. It begins with a simple idea: a room should fit the lives unfolding in it. The site gives that idea space, letting visitors linger over the interiors before learning how the designer works.
A feeling before a floor plan
The opening image brings you into a sunlit room framed by pale walls and warm timber. A generous serif headline sits over the photograph; a few italic words in muted terracotta add a human note, like a small detail noticed on a second look. The navigation stays quiet so the room, rather than the interface, makes the first impression.
Across the site, soft neutrals give the photography room to breathe. Oak, linen and stone meet quieter greens, charcoal and brass in the project imagery. The typography follows the same balance: expressive where the story begins, clear and understated around the practical details.
Five rooms, five temperaments
The five featured interiors each have their own character. A courtyard living room pairs water-green walls with walnut and linen. The city-house kitchen feels open and bright, with marble and pale oak. Elsewhere, slate, midnight blue and brushed brass bring a quieter mood.
Short descriptions sit alongside the photographs with the room, location, area and year. A small palette of materials and colors gives each project its own vocabulary, without asking visitors to read a long brief before they can feel the difference between spaces.
Made for everyday life
The site’s account of the design process stays close to the people who will live with the result. It starts by listening to habits, wishes and budget; plans and material choices help make decisions tangible; coordination and finishing carry the idea into the home.
From the first image to the service details, the page keeps the same calm pace. It offers inspiration first, then enough practical context to imagine a project of your own.
Outcome
The live portfolio brings the five spaces, the designer’s approach and the visual direction together in one place. The intended result is an invitation to picture how a home might feel, not only how it might look.
