Monde de Devs: social network for developers

A full-stack social app where developers follow topics, read a feed of posts and comment.

  • Angular
  • NgRx
  • Signals
  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • PostgreSQL

Context and constraints

This is project 5 of the Lead Developer Java Angular program: design and build a complete full-stack application. I went beyond the original brief. It is a personal and learning project, not client work.

The product

Monde de Devs is a social network for developers. Users can create an account, manage their profile, choose which topics to follow, browse a paginated feed, publish posts and leave comments.

Build

Frontend

An Angular application built around PrimeNG components. NgRx holds global state, including authentication, and Angular Signals handle local state. RxJS covers the reactive data flows.

Backend

A Java API built with Spring Boot and Spring Security. Authentication uses JWTs. Hibernate/JPA persists data in PostgreSQL. The API exposes users, topics, posts and comments.

Outcome

Not yet measured. This page describes what is visible in the public repository. It makes no claim about usage or performance. To measure it, I would run a Lighthouse audit on the feed page, record API response times on the paginated feed, and publish both with the commit they were measured on.

Next iteration

If I continued this project, I would deploy a public demo with sample data, so the product can be tried without cloning the repository, and then add the measurements above.
